### About VSIC

The Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification (VSIC) is a classification system specific to Vietnam, designed to categorize economic activities and industries within the country. It provides a standardized framework for organizing and analyzing economic data at various levels, from broad sectors to specific industry categories. Businesses that seek to register their economic activities with the authorities must refer to the VSIC as guidance.

The Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification includes 5 levels:

* Level 1 includes 21 sections hierarchically designated by alphabetical letters from A to U;
* Level 2 includes 88 divisions, each of which is assigned a two-digit code according to the corresponding section;
* Level 3 includes 242 groups, each of which is assigned a three-digit code according to the corresponding division;
* Level 4 includes 486 classes, each of which is assigned a four-digit code according to the corresponding group;
* Level 5 includes 734 sub-classes, each of which is assigned a five-digit code according to the corresponding class.

### VSIC Version in Use

On 6 July 2018, the Government of Vietnam issued Decision No. 27/2018/QD-TTg (**Decision No. 27**) to update the provisions of the old VSIC.

By employing the latest version of VSIC, FiinGate enables users to explore and analyze economic data specific to Vietnam, understand industry trends, and gain insights into the Vietnamese market.
